I see it every day in our dance studio. The music starts to play and expressions soften, people smile more, they unknowingly move their bodies to the rhythm, they become happier and less stressed.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to have music in your life \u2013 which is easy when you regularly dance. But when you don\u2019t, it\u2019s important to find ways to include music in your days.<\/p>\n<p>Did you know people derive these benefits from music?<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Improved Verbal IQ \u2013 People who play music regularly have better visual and verbal skills than those who don\u2019t. Your cognition benefits from being around music.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0You\u2019ll Be Happier \u2013 Moods lift when you listen to upbeat music. Engaging with music affects your mood.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll Be More Connected to Others \u2013 Making music with other people \u2013 or dancing to it \u2013 connects you to other people, which increases satisfaction in life overall.<\/li>\n<li>Your Heart will be Healthier \u2013 More than 20 studies revealed that listening to music reduces your heart rate, blood pressure and anxiety \u2013 increasing heart health.<\/li>\n<li>Mood Management \u2013 Music improves moods, even sad tunes. Seriously!
