{"id":2854,"date":"2017-08-23T19:04:20","date_gmt":"2017-08-23T19:04:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boca-raton\/?p=2854"},"modified":"2017-08-23T19:04:20","modified_gmt":"2017-08-23T19:04:20","slug":"bocas-ballroom-battle-fundraising-records-shattered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boca-raton\/blog\/uncategorized\/bocas-ballroom-battle-fundraising-records-shattered\/","title":{"rendered":"Boca&#8217;s Ballroom Battle &#8211; Fundraising Records SHATTERED!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boca-raton\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/2017\/08\/20953186_308103569661429_8129422712839246434_n.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boca-raton\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/2017\/08\/20953186_308103569661429_8129422712839246434_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"608\" height=\"456\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-2855\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 10th Annual Boca&#8217;s Ballroom Battle, a fundraising event held by the George Snow Scholarship Fund, happened this past Friday and was a tremendous success, to say the least. \u00a0Not only did our Elite Eight Community Dancers perform the best they ever have, but the fundraising done by these leaders was at an all-time high.<\/p>\n<p>This spectacular event raised over $500,000 that will go towards giving scholarships to deserving teenagers. \u00a0The female fundraising winner was Terry Fedele and the male winner was John Tolbert who raised over $190,000 alone! \u00a0But all of the dancers were winners that night and the true winners are the deserving kids who will receive college scholarships thanks to the hard work the Elite Eight put in!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boca-raton\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/2017\/08\/20881985_1340541062741914_7859998986613131270_n.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boca-raton\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/2017\/08\/20881985_1340541062741914_7859998986613131270_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"466\" height=\"466\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-2857\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The opening number of the show not only included our pros and the Elite Eight, but alumni dancers from the previous 9 years. \u00a0The energy in the room, filled with approximately 1000 people, was incredible and a fabulous time was had by all!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who made this event the huge success that it was! \u00a0And congratulations to all of the community dancers!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 10th Annual Boca&#8217;s Ballroom Battle, a fundraising event held by the George Snow Scholarship Fund, happened this past Friday and was a tremendous success, to say the least. \u00a0Not only did our Elite Eight Community Dancers perform the best they ever have, but the fundraising done by these leaders was at an all-time high.
