After an introductory lesson \u2014 sign up for a $40 intro lesson!<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 you can join our Beginner Dance Program<\/a> where you’ll start to learn basic ballroom dance patterns, foot position, directional movements, and more.<\/p>

Your new skills will grow even faster (and you’ll have a lot of fun) with access to unlimited group classes<\/a> (including Foxtrot lessons!) and social dancing parties, where you can practice your moves to a variety of musical styles alongside the rest of your studio dance family.<\/p>

What Is the Foxtrot?<\/span><\/p>

The Foxtrot is a classic American dance style, often associated with glamorous ballrooms and the fun of the flapper era. The Foxtrot originated in New York City early in the 20th century and is commonly believed to be named after Harry Fox, a vaudeville performer who was perhaps the first to use the “slow step” that characterizes the Foxtrot. The dance became hugely popular during the 1910s and 1920s, spreading across ballrooms across the country and onto the global stage.\u00a0<\/p>
