his upcoming wedding, she said \u201cOK, sounds fun\u201d \u2013 then went looking for a place that could teach her the dance moves.<\/p><h4 class=\"preFlex flexIn\"><em>\u201cI wanted to learn some social dancing,\u201d<\/em> she said. <em>\u201cI wanted to be on the dance floor and perform those dances without looking like a robot, and to feel comfortable in the dance.\u201d<\/em><\/h4><h1>Finding Their Rhythm<\/h1><p class=\"sqsrte-large preFlex flexIn\">What began as preparation for a wedding dance quickly turned into something more. Paige\u2019s husband, Stephen, had danced as a young man and always enjoyed it. So when the couple from Eagle found Fred Astaire Boise it sparked a newfound passion.<\/p><blockquote><h4 class=\"preFlex flexIn\">\u201c<em>This started because of the wedding, but after the first lesson I said, \u2018We\u2019re going to continue doing this, right? And keep going after the wedding, right?\u2019\u201d<\/em> Stephen said. <em>\u201cAnd she said \u2018Oh, yes!\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/h4><p class=\"preFlex flexIn\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote><h1>Reconnecting Through Dance<\/h1><p class=\"sqsrte-large preFlex flexIn\">Today, Paige and Stephen are familiar faces at Fred Astaire Boise, working closely with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fredastaire.com\/boise\/about-us\/\">certified dance instructors Gentry and Erin<\/a>. Ballroom dancing has become an activity the Sowinskis \u2013 married for 28 years \u2013 can enjoy together.<\/p><blockquote><h4 class=\"preFlex flexIn\"><strong><em>\u201cFor me, it\u2019s an outlet,\u201d Paige said. \u201cIt\u2019s a time for me to focus on my well-being. We felt very comfortable and welcome. It\u2019s a great place to focus on yourselves, it was a thing we could do for a date night as a couple. We both enjoy this and I\u2019m happy that we have it. I always leave here happy.\u201d <\/em><\/p><p class=\"sqsrte-large preFlex flexIn\"><strong>\u2013 Paige Sowinski<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"sqsrte-large preFlex flexIn\"><em>\u201cI come because my wife loves it and it makes her happy. And I like it when my wife is happy. When she comes in here she gets so excited. You just have to come and snuggle up with your lady, or whoever you have, and it\u2019s a good thing.
