The bright green clothing, the parties, the revelry \u2013 we do enjoy a good time.<\/p>\n<p>So we\u2019re inviting you to have one with us at our St. Patrick\u2019s Day Party right here in the Bonita Springs studio. Save the date \u2013 Friday, March 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Bring your Irish spirit and don\u2019t be shy about wearing green!<\/p>\n<p>A few quick facts about St. Patrick\u2019s Day from www.brittanica.com:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaint Patrick\u2019s Day, feast day (March 17) of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain in the late 4th century, he was kidnapped at the age of 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned about 432 to convert the Irish to Christianity. By the time of his death on March 17, 461, he had established monasteries, churches, and schools. Many legends grew up around him\u2014for example, that he drove the snakes out of Ireland and used the shamrock to explain the Trinity. Ireland came to celebrate his day with religious services and feasts.<\/p>\n<p>It was emigrants, particularly to the United States, who transformed St. Patrick\u2019s Day into a largely secular holiday of revelry and celebration of things Irish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Help celebrate the Emerald Isle\u2019s history and culture.
