Tampa Bay Championships

Fred Astaire Tampa Bay is excitedly preparing for their annual TBC Dance Championship at Clearwater’s Feather Sound Country Club. This all-day event will begin with a boot camp. This 2-hour intensive dance session encourages beginner and advanced students to “up their dance game” and try new techniques and styles of dance. As the afternoon progresses, solo “showcase” performances and group numbers will take place – these “Dancing with the Stars” style routines are customized with special costumes and choreographed to match a specific song allowing the character of the song to shine through. Transitioning into the dance competition when students will compete in American and International styles of dance, such as Rumba, Cha Cha, Hustle, Waltz and Tango. The night’s festivities will conclude with a white attire cocktail party and dinner banquet featuring live music by Latin band, “Miami Vice.”
