The Fred Astaire Tampa Bay Region is mobilizing to give aid to the Houston victims of Hurricane Harvey in our FADS family. The studios in the Houston region were greatly affected by the storm and our hearts go out to all enduring terrible hardships.
We’ve always been good neighbors and good corporate citizens, and now we are extending our outreach. There is a GoFundMe page set up to help the Fred Astaire families of Houston directly. https://www.gofundme.com/fads-texas-harvey-relief-fund
You’ve seen the devastation on the ground throughout Houston and recovery will be a long, arduous process. We know how our FADS students and staff step up when anyone needs a helping hand, and so we ask you to please visit this page and make a donation. Nearly $14,000 was raised in the first two days alone, so please help FADS reach the target of $100,000 for FADS Houston.
There’s another way you can assist with disaster relief in Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. We’re having a “2-Steppin’ for Houston” group class and party from 7:45-9 P.M. Thursday, September 7th. The theme is country/western, and we are combining with Fred Astaire of North Tampa. The event is free, and located at the Brandon studio.
Students will be encouraged to donate on their phones in real time, so our FADS family can recover from flood damage.
You’ve watched the news and seen the dreadful conditions in Houston. Here’s a chance to help our FADS friends get through a terrible time.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and look forward to your attendance at “2-Steppin’ for Houston” on Thursday, September 7th.
