It’s Time To Strut Your Stuff!

Dancing helps you look and feel your best. You know that from your lessons and the fun practice parties at Fred Astaire Dance Studio Brandon.

Now we’re going to have an event that adds to the great feel-good and look-good benefits you receive from all the work you put into dance.

On Saturday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., we’re having a little get-together called Mimosas & Makeup with Laura. We will pour a little champagne into some Florida orange juice and Laura will help you with a variety of beauty tips designed to enhance your appearance in dance competitions.

Makeup for ballroom dance competitions can be bit overwhelming, different dance styles call for different makeup looks, and the ballroom dance judges take grooming very seriously. So, before you can strut your stuff… you’ve got to look the part! Make sure to join us for this fun event as we break down the basics of ballroom dancing makeup.

You can take that brand-new you to the Tampa Bay Freddy Ball weekend, which starts Friday. Feb. 2. We are excited to see every student express their love of dance with each step and smile on the dance floor. The studio is closed on that Friday for this event. Come cheer us on at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park. There is a nominal fee at the door and spectators are welcome. Dinner is not included. Here’s a link to the hotel site:

Ask you instructor for more information about the Freddy Ball weekend and being a part of it.

It is also time to get ready for another annual biggie. Each year, Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Tampa Bay put on a Showcase Dance Fantasy. In May, our students take the stage at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg to show their stuff. YOU can be part of our Showcase Audition Casting Day Mon. Feb. 5th. Free group classes are available all evening to students coming out to audition. Come on in and take part. Did we mention it’s free? (We did!).

Drop in anytime between 6-8 p.m. at the St. Pete Central Fred Astaire Dance Studio. The Brandon studio is closed Monday, Feb. 5th (after 4:45 p.m.) for this event.

See you soon.
