The Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Brandon is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a special community party and open house. Put this date on your calendar and join us. Our Anniversary Open House is Friday, March 29, from 7-9 p.m. at the Brandon studio. Everyone is welcome to enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, prizes and lots of dancing at no charge!
In our eight years, the studio has enriched the lives of more than 1,000 students! Studio owners David and Kelle Chancellor relocated from the Tallahassee area, where they were both dance instructors at a Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Kelle had grown up in Brandon, and the dancing couple decided to bring the Fred Astaire name back to the area by opening their own studio.
In the eight years since its opening, Kelle and David have achieved honors and won numerous awards. David consistently wins top teacher in the Tampa Bay region, which includes the studios in Brandon, Tampa and St. Petersburg. Most recently, Kelle was crowned Grand Champion, along with her local celebrity partner, at Tampa Bay’s Dancing with the Stars 2018. Fred Astaire Brandon was named the Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce’s Medium Business of the Year for 2017. Kelle and David also danced together in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in November 2018.
Located in the heart of Brandon, Fred Astaire Dance Studio is the premier ballroom dance location for all partnership dancing, providing the community with highly trained, certified dance instructors. We offer ballroom dance instruction on private and group levels as well as social parties, including ballroom, Latin and swing dances, along with tailored Wedding Dance programs.
