This party is free and a great chance for you to meet new dance partners. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the date of the Mexican army\u2019s victory in 1862 over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). While this is a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, in the United States it has become a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations.<\/p>\n<p>Dance Fantasy (Showcase) is Friday, May 19, 7 p.m. at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg. Come support Team Brandon! We have our most competitors ever! 18 members of Team Brandon are doing a <em>La La Land<\/em> group number.\u00a0 We have a region-record-breaking 11 solo\/duet numbers, and 3 Brandon staff numbers.
