RESIDENT COACH & DIRECTOR

Istvan Cserven enjoyed an extensive dance career in his native Hungary before moving to the United States. He held the amateur title of Hungarian Standard Champion, three-time Vice-Hungarian 10-Dance Champion, and was a member of the National Champion Latin Formation Team. For the next eleven years he coached competitive couples of all levels and ages, as well as the Hungarian Latin Youth Champions. Julian Cortez

DANCE INSTRUCTOR

A Queens, New York native, Julian has developed his passion for the performing arts over the course of ten years. He has performed and competed throughout the New York state with his high school’s ensemble chorus, and has been awarded several accolades for his accomplishments. Julian continued singing when he attended Boston University, and sang in several venues with the Symphonic Chorus, including the Boston Symphony Hall. Read More

Vivienne Kogan

Vivienne hails from Ukraine and has been ballroom dancing since she was four years old and began teaching at the age of 13. Some of her accomplishments include her being the Boston Regional Champion in 2013 for the Youth International Latin category. From 2012-2014, Vivienne represented Greece in competitions around the world, and in 2013 became Youth Latin National Champion, and proceeded to represent Greece German Open Championship. Erin Strickland

DANCE INSTRUCTOR

ERIN has been dancing for 16 years, first studying in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and pointe. While competing in those styles since the age of 10, she has received various scholarships and specialty awards. She is a Class of 2011 graduate of the Dance Education Training course provided by the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston. Erin instructed in these styles for 6 years, to students aged 6 through 15. SHAUN has been dancing since the age of thirteen and is trained across several styles, including hip-hop and freestyle. Shaun has also been involved in theater and performing arts for over 10 years. During that time, Shaun has performed in several musicals and plays, and has produced original choreography for many of these shows.
