“Dancing is like dreaming with your feet.” – Constanze
Yuliya started her dancing journey at the age of 3 in Seoul, South Korea. She was always intrigued by the variety of dancing styles. She pursued her dance career in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, ballroom, and K-Pop. This knowledge and experience in various dancing styles gave her diversity in dancing language. Moreover, Yuliya took up rhythmic gymnastics as her hobby, to further expand her dance expertise. To get into the very depth of each dance style, choreography, performing arts, teaching, and everything connected to dance, Yuliya graduated from Korean University, majoring in dance.
Upon graduation, Yuliya became a part of the most exciting and significant dance performances throughout the year, traveling all around South Korea. She was a part of the 2002 World Cup Opening Ceremony performance, the “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” musical, World Expo performances, and team performances in Samsung Everland Park for three years. Yuliya took part in a variety of television programs and opening ceremonies as a professional dancer. In addition, she has taught professional classes specializing in K-pop to people of all ages.
In 2013 Yuliya won the Silver Medal at the Fred Astaire National Championship in Orlando, FL, and a Silver Medal at the Northeast Dancesport Championships in Whippany, NJ. In August 2015, she became a co-owner and professional dance instructor at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Doylestown, PA. Yuliya’s favorite ballroom dance is Rumba. Music is her inspiration. She says that the best thing about teaching and dancing is being able to express emotions
through body movement.
