Nicholas Carter – Instructor

As a student molded from the disciplinary teachings of the color guard pageantry arts, Nicholas Carter attended East Paulding High School where he joined the school winterguard program, marching a total of eight seasons and developing his skills as a performer. He went on to march with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps where he performed while traveling around the country at various venues during the summers of 2017-2019. He started marching independent winterguard with Paramount Open (2018), later joining Edge Independent (2020-2021) and Paramount World (2022). He has taught at South Forsyth High School (2017), North Gwinnett High School (2018), and West Forsyth High School (2019-2020) as a technician and choreographer, and was the color guard director of Cherokee Bluff High School. He is also founder and director of Destiny Independent Winterguard, a color guard performance group based out of the Metro-Atlanta area.

Nicholas joined Fred Astaire Dance Studios at the Duluth, GA location as an instructor in 2022. He attended university at Kennesaw State University where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Modern Dance.
