Judith Anne Melencio – Instructor

Judith from the Philippines. Growing up in a family of dancers is the reason
why she entered in the World of Dancing. It was in the heart of 1997 when Judith put on her first pair of dancing shoes. Her childhood memories are dancing, trainings, and competitions.

Very soon she became one of the leading dancers and started representing the Philippines in different National and International Competitions. She became an undefeated Champion and National Philippine athlete for 15 years. She learned her latin dancing from World Class teachers such as Gaynor Fairweather and Donnie Burns MBE (World and Blackpool Champions), Bryan Watson and Carmen (World Champions), and Ralph Lepane (Blackpool Finalist). She learned her Standard dance from Glen Tierney and Adam and Karen Reeve (World Champions).

She mastered the Latin American discipline and became the Top-Ranking Competitor in the world and Philippines. She represented and gave honor to the Philippines in various prestigious dance competitions like Asia Pacific Championship, Southeast Asian Games, The World Superstar Championship, The Open Worlds, and The Blackpool Open Dance Festival.

With her enthusiasm and passion for dance Judith is thrilled to now be a Professional Dance Instructor of Fred Astaire Dance Studios, East Greenwich.
