Welcome to the 2023 South Florida Dancesport Championships. You are going to participate in a memorable weekend of exciting dancing and competition, along with renewing old friendships and starting new ones.

The dancers who are competing will demonstrate the exciting Fred Astaire dance curriculum. For most of the competitors, this is their 1st competition, so we would like to congratulate them for just stepping onto the dance floor and displaying their dancing. For those of you who have competed before, we commend you for striving to become even better dancers each and every day. For those of you who are competing, the gratitude of the entire Fred Astaire Organization is extended. Your participation is a direct reflection of the high standards of excellence established by Fred Astaire studios throughout the world. Your sense of pride in accomplishment, as well as your display of good sportsmanship, is the keynote of these competitions.

To the guests, spectators and others attending the 2023 South Florida Dancesport Championships for the first time, we ask for your cooperation and enthusiasm in cheering for the competing couples. Your cheers and applause are immensely appreciated for everyone, and will motivate your favorite couples to perform with “their best foot forward”.

In closing, may we take this opportunity to thank all of you who participated in this prestigious event, on behalf of all the Fred Astaire “family”. The many people whose time and effort contribute to the success of these competitions each year, are living proof that Fred Astaire Dance Studios are, indeed the finest in the world. Without all of you, we couldn’t do it!
