BIO

After immigrating to the United States from Moldova in 1998, where he was a Champion in both International Standard and Latin, Victor discovered American Smooth. He enjoyed this program so much, he became a specialist in dancing and teaching the style. Within a short time, he had professional success in American Smooth and became equally successful in training Pro/Am students to become champions. He is proud to have been the Professional partner and Teacher of students who have collectively accumulated a total of 21 United States National and World Championships, in both American Smooth and International Standard. In addition, his students have won or been finalists in most major competitions throughout the United States, and have won so many National and World Fred Astaire Championships he long-ago lost count of the number. Victor was invited to do a special exhibition performance on PBS-TV’s Championship Ballroom Dancing with one of his most successful Pro/Am students. The exhibition can been seen on YouTube. With these accomplishments, it is not surprising Victor is frequently sought by Fred Astaire Dance Studios locations to coach and share his expertise with their students and instructors. Victor is the Owner and Dance Director of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Rockland County NY, just north of New York City. He is accomplished professionally, in all styles of dance.
