You might have heard about the recent tragic loss of Arizona’s own Kayla Mueller, a young woman who was captured and killed by ISIS while performing humanitarian work in Syria. Her selflessness and courage have gone on to inspire millions since her capture, and although she is no longer with us, she continues to touch the world through the organization Kayla’s Hands. Kayla’s Hands is an organization founded to “further her humanitarian efforts both locally and internationally,” and we are honored to be offering free dance lessons as well as performing at an upcoming celebration of Kayla’s life and fundraiser for the organization that bears her name.
This wonderful event features some sure-to-be incredible performances from the Tucson Boy’s Choir, Saint Paul’s Harp Choir, and the Sons of Orpheus Men’s Choir as well as performances by international dance champions Zsolt Faskerti and Eszter Ocsovszki who will be representing Fred Astaire Dance Studio at the event. There will also be a silent art auction featuring artwork from Diana Madaras, Schim Schimmel and others. In addition, you will be contributing to a wonderful cause.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at the East Lawn Palms Mortuary Chapel, which is located at 5801 E. Grant Road in Tucson. For even more info about the event, please consult the flyer below. We sincerely hope we can see you there!
