The Fred and Adele Astaire Awards benefit The Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts.\u00a0 A public charity which provides Dance\/Movement Therapy services to disabled and autistic students. The Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts has initiated a public school-based program of dance and movement therapy aimed at addressing the unique needs of children with autism and other developmental disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The Gala celebrates the 2016 Season\u2019s outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway and film. The event will take place on May 16<sup>th<\/sup> at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing arts. Although we won\u2019t be able to attend, we encourage our Tucson studio\u2019s family and friends to make a donation to this wonderful cause.<\/p>\n<p>Providing a child with new and creative ways to express their thoughts, feelings and needs through movement is a gift. To parents and educators, but most importantly, to the child themselves.
