COVID-19 RETURN TO STUDIO PROCEDURES
We are very excited to welcome all of our students back to in-person dance lessons. In preparation for this step, we would like to inform you of the safety and health procedures we are enacting to ensure a healthy environment for our students and staff members and their loved ones. Lessons will proceed in the following manner:
Everyone entering the studio is required to wear a facemask which properly covers the nose and mouth. Upon entering the studio, a staff member will take your temperature using a touch-free thermometer which will then be wiped using a disinfectant wipe for the next use.
Students will be asked to complete a self-screening health questionnaire, addressing contact with other people, recent travel, and risk assessment. This questionnaire may be emailed to you in advance of your lesson, but it must be filled out on each day you plan to attend lessons.
Each instructor has been assigned a portion of the studio (hereinafter, station) from which he or she will work for the day. (S)he will disinfect all surfaces and instruments used during a lesson in his or her station, including, but not limited to: pens, tables, chairs and electronic devices. Please maintain social distance from everyone at the studio with the exception of your instructor and/or partner. You will be directed to your instructor’s station to wait to begin your lesson. Please do not adjust your position within the studio away from your instructor’s station.
Staff and students must wash their hands before and after each lesson, and hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available to be used throughout lessons. We have outlined one-way traffic patterns throughout the studio in order to maintain social distancing. Please adhere to the directional arrows.
You will be asked to sign out your lesson, which can be done in one of three ways: 1) using the front desk kiosk (which will be wiped after use), 2) using a single writing utensil or finger directly on your instructor’s iPad (wiped down after each use by the instructor), or 3) completing your lesson verification via email.
You are welcome to wear gloves during your lesson, but they will not be provided by the studio. Please inform your instructor if they contain rubber latex in case of allergies.
Online lessons are still available to anyone interested.
Students who wish to be fully isolated from others are welcome to request the use of the curtained areas. Please make this request well in advance of your lesson, and our staff members will most happily accommodate.
The following areas are temporarily closed for use: water fountain and cooler, tea and coffee station, changing room, and back entrance.
Please bring your own filled water container. We have a limited supply of bottled water available to staff members and students as well.
Please be respectful of everyone at the studio and their individual choices regarding their own, and their family members’ health.
Each instructor will follow all of these safety procedures as well, including having their temperature taken when they arrive, and filling out a self-screening health questionnaire. If we feel that, for any reason, an instructor may have been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, he or she will be asked to quarantine for 14 days, or take the Covid test (and make sure the result is negative) before returning to work at the studio.
Thank you so much for your understanding and compliance with these health and safety guidelines. We are so excited to dance SAFELY with you all again soon!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our certified dance instructors and studio team members are here for you.
