Dancing can help fight depression more effectively than other outlets. An article in Women’s Health magazine cites a study in the New England Journal of Medicine that examined 11 physical activities.

Researchers discovered that dancers have more mental acuity and lower their risk of developing brain disease over the long term compared with those who don’t dance. Dancing was the only activity of the 11 studied that lowered the risk of dementia by at least 76%.
