Steven Powell – Director / Instructor

Steven came to the United States from the U.K. and is responsible as the studio’s Dance Director for the level of quality offered on each and every lesson taught in Hamden. Steven has achieved Year after Year many achievement awards with Fred Astaire, from Top Teacher to Manager of the Year. His previous international competitive background coupled with his professional background as an American Competitor makes him a highly sought after instructor.

Steven continually promotes his staffs training and certification exams, retaking his own certifications and diploma exams to ensure the Hamden studio is as current as possible, while offering a highly trained and certified instructor on each and every lesson offered in Hamden. Steven continues to compete with his students both regionally and nationally achieving incredible results and highly commended remarks from Judges and National Coaches.

His passion for teaching and competitive nature and constant drive for perfection make him an incredible and much loved professional instructor.
