Fred Astaire\u2019s influence on dance is so enduring that his name remains a cultural touchstone. Our heritage began in 1947, when Mr. Astaire co\u2011founded Fred Astaire Dance Studios with a vision that would reshape ballroom education. Widely regarded as one of the greatest multitalented dancers of all time, he wanted to create a studio system that would preserve his technique, philosophy, and approach to teaching. He personally influenced the development of our curriculum and instructional methods, ensuring that his artistry could be passed on to dancers everywhere.<\/p>

With the opening of the first Fred Astaire Studio on Park Avenue in New York City, Astaire brought his Hollywood brilliance into everyday life.
