There’s not much that compares with a Fred Astaire regional dance competition, and Texarama is just about here! Please join us and your fellow dancers from The Sugarlands who are taking part at the San Louis resort in Galveston from Sept. 13 (Thursday) through Sept. 15 (Saturday).
The theme is European countries!
Whether you’re competing or cheering people on there is a lot to do in Galveston. In addition, this is a great opportunity to meet and greet, mingle with Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studios students from across the region, and support the efforts of your studio friends who are in it to win it!
Texarama isn’t the only exciting event this month. The 20th Annual YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge Presented by Repsol is a unique and fun team building event which we invite our FADS Sugarland family to partake in!
The sport of dragon boating may have ancient Chinese roots, but there’s no mistaking that the The Woodlands Family YMCA’s Dragon Boat Race has become a tradition in The Woodlands, too.
Teams will race colorful, dragon-headed boats across Lake Woodlands, participate in games and enjoy friendly competition in support of the community-strengthening programs provided by The Woodlands Family YMCA.
