Born in San Antonio, TX she spent a majority of her upbringing in Houston, right here in the Memorial area. At an early age of 5, Julia started to create her “Classical” background in: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. As a teen she translated her passion for dance to the Theater, instantly falling in love with the production of a Musical she found a love for singing and acting to compliment her connection with dance.
Right after graduating from Stratford High School, she attended the University of Oklahoma, where she receieved her BFA in Musical Theater. After living and performing for a year in New York, she decided that she missed her Texas home. Upon her return she knew that her future still belonged to her passion for dance. She started working for FADS in May of 2012, and has never been happier. She knew that she would love the dancing aspect of her job, but she had no idea just how much she would enjoy the teaching part.
Julia is a very passionate motivator for her students. She does everything within her power to make sure her students have a great experience, help make a difference in their lives, and sharing the joy of dancing.
As a professional competitor she and her partner, Joshua, have won a variety of titles Regionally, and has been a finalist for Rising Star American Closed Rhythm division at the Fred Astaire World Championship. She has also been placed repeatedly in the Top 5 Instructors of the Texas Region for New Student Development.
