The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night, July 31st, and continues until 9:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, so current students can bring friends, family and other prospective members to the studio for this great event. Food and beverages will also be served.
We’ll have 15 or so students covering many of the dances the studio teaches. Much of the choreography has been done by former Fred Astaire world professional rhythm champion Hayk Arshakian. You can see Hayk in action on this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs8J73REeV0
Students who have started their exhibition routines, which are in addition to their regular Bronze or Silver curricula, are looking to accelerate the performance aspects of their dancing, and performing before a crowd helps them get the feel of a competitive setting. Having family and friends support them at this event is also a great confidence builder.
After the students strut their stuff, we’ll have a show put on by our professionals. There will be dancing, dancing, dancing!
So please join us on Friday night, July 31st, at 7:30 p.m. as we turn the spotlight on our students for our 2nd Annual Spotlight Evening, serve food and drinks and then put on a professional show. That’s a full evening of fun with friends and friends you haven’t met yet. See you there!
