TALK ABOUT THE TYPES OF DANCES<\/strong><\/em>
\nKerski: Basic for the group dancing scenes <\/em>\u2014 rumba, foxtrot. For the actual couple, my <\/em>professional instructor and her partner got a <\/em>bit fancier; lifts, tricks, things that we would <\/em>incorporate into a dance for a wedding couple. <\/em><\/p>\n

WHAT\u2019S THE USUAL LEAD TIME<\/strong><\/em>
\nAND LEARNING CURVE?<\/strong><\/em>
\nKerski: I would say a minimum of six months for most couples. Even if your actual date is further out, the last thing you want to stress about is forgetting steps and freezing up. So the idea is to make the couple comfortable enough to be able to socially dance their dance. Then we turn that into a choreographed routine, so you get that repetition in the months leading up to the wedding.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\nKerski: Dancing forces you to think <\/em>from your partner\u2019s perspective. How my <\/em>lead affects the lady, how to support the <\/em>gentleman as a follower. And that lesson <\/em>permeates other aspects of the relationship, <\/em>making for stronger couples.<\/em><\/p>\n
