From a very young age Natalie has always been a performer. She really came out of her shell through a hometown dance group called Higher Power, where she not only tried many styles of dance such as ballet and jazz, but would sing and act for her community as well.
She took advantage of every opportunity to entertain, from joining color guard in her high school’s marching band to performing at the Virginia Renaissance Faire for many years.
She graduated with a Musical Theatre and a Leadership studies degree from Christopher Newport University in Virginia. It is during her time in college where she was introduced to Ballroom Dance. She took to it immediately, but had to put her training on hold for a couple of years as she accepted entertainment positions at Walt Disney World and Carnival Cruise Lines. Quite the Hostess with the Mostest!
After 5 years in these entertainment industries, led to her being homebound due to the pandemic, she’s made her way to Wisconsin to rekindle her love and appreciation of ballroom dance with us at Fred Astaire.
Not only does she enjoy learning and teaching, she is determined to create fun and memorable experiences for everyone that steps onto the dance floor.
