Dear Dance Family,
Fred Astaire Dance Studios® – Milwaukee is thrilled to announce the re-opening of our studio on Tuesday, May 26th!
Please know that your health and safety have been at the foundation of our re-opening plan, which may continue to evolve as we follow CDC recommendations and guidelines.
Our ultimate commitment is to provide a joyous and welcoming environment for all of you while ensuring your health and safety, as we continue to Share in the Magic of Dance.
Here are a few of many changes you may expect when coming to the studio:
Studio open by appointment only.
Most of our customer support team members will continue to work partially remotely, and may not be there to greet you upon your arrival. They are available to assist you by phone and/or email:
Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
At this time, we offer programs, open, showcase private lessons in an in-person environment. We look forward to resuming our group activities and events sometime in the future.
Appointments available seven days a week.
Due to the structured schedule, the studio is not available for personal practice at this time.
We’ve expanded our services and now offer virtual, private, and group lessons. These will continue to remain available going forward. Please keep your eye open for our weekly virtual group lesson schedule, offering a wide variety of topics.
Please arrive at the studio 5 minutes before starting your in-person lesson. One of our friendly professionals will greet you and let you in. In the pursuit to keep the number of people in our facilities to a minimum, the studio entry door will remain locked, even though we are inside dancing.
Lesson duration remains the same; however, we’ve allocated 60 minutes for each 40-minute session. The time in between will allow us to sanitize our facility and be ready to greet the next group of students.
We’ve temporarily limited the number of private lessons available at the same time to a 50% capacity.
Everyone is required to wear a face-covering while on-premises and wash (sanitize) their hands upon arrival.
Students, team members, and visitors will have limited to no access to most common areas. Our changing rooms will temporarily be unavailable.
The bench area inside the ballroom is the recommended area for shoe changing at this time. We will sanitize this area before and after each lesson.
Please refrain from using the water fountain inside the studio. Our reverse osmosis water filtration system will remain available with the following adjustments: only disposable cone cups for single use only. Using studio equipment to fill refillable containers/ water bottles will not be permitted.
Following each lesson time, studio surfaces, frequent touch points, and all commonly used areas will be cleaned and sanitized.
Hand sanitizer will be made readily available throughout the studio.
A brief health check questionnaire will accompany every in-person lesson confirmation; please take a moment to fill it out and return to us before your arrival to the studio. We’ve simplified this process by sending these with a digital signature option, allowing both computer, tablet, or smartphone digital signature.
If you experience any of the Covid-19 symptoms, please let us know by calling or emailing the studio. We will gladly reschedule your lesson.
We will continue to look for ways to minimize frequent touch points. We are switching to remote payment systems, paperless enrollments, and information sharing.
We recognize that these times wake a wide variety of reactions; risk tolerance is varied from person to person. We are committed to displaying the maximum amount of compassion, understanding, and support to all of our Dance Family Members as we transition into creating the “new norm.” We welcome and value any feedback that can aid us in delivering an exceptional and effortless experience.
Our North Star is our mission of enriching lives, and in these uncertain times more then ever, we find our certainty in our values and culture.
My Team and I look forward to seeing you again on the dance floor!
