Congratulations, Northeast Competitors!

Congratulations, Northeast DanceSport Competitors!

We’d like to congratulate all of our students and staff members who competed this past weekend at the Northeast DanceSport Championships!

This competition is one of our favorites as it takes place close to home.  It’s always more fun and exciting to dance when you have lots of friends and fellow dancers cheering for you from the spectator sidelines.  So here’s a special Thank You to all of our students and friends who showed up to provide moral support.  There’s nothing in the world quite like a live ballroom & latin dancesport competition! We’re sure you definitely got to enjoy some wonderful dancing and an overall fabulous experience during your visit!

Our 2017 Northeast DanceSport Challenge student competitors were Lori Dahlberg, Amy Gaitane, Joanne Johnson, Mollie Lawrence, Gaby Lopez, Victoria Sebastian, Tammy Siana & Rika Yamaguchi.

Each and every one of you put a great deal of hard work into preparing for this event.  And you all did a fabulous job dancing, whether competing in Smooth, Rhythm or Show division!  We are so proud of you!

Some highlights of the competition results came from two of our ladies competing in the Silver division.  Gaby Lopez was 1st place in Silver Smooth B division Championship and 4th place in the Silver Rhythm B division Championship! Mollie Lawrewence placed 1st in the Silver Smooth Championship C division. Joanne Johnson placed 3rd in the Bronze Rhythm B division Championship.  Congratulations to all of you on achieving these incredible results!

Our Morristown teaching staff also did an amazing job in the Professional DanceSport divisions.  At the Saturday night banquet our staff member Tsvetomir Stoynov received the 4th place Top Teacher award!  We are so proud! Go Morristown!

With this long-awaited competition behind us, our studio is now looking forward to its next competitive event!  (That is, following next month’s National competition, NDC in Orlando, Florida) This coming Winter 2018 student dancers from across New Jersey will come together for one of the most exciting, fun competitions our region offers.  Students of all levels are welcome and encouraged to participate in this convenient, low-pressure, super fun one-day event. See your teacher for more details about January’s Team Match competition! Be sure to register now so you can start preparing to be part of this friendly NJ-wide challenge!
