Dear Northeast Competitors — We are so proud of you!! Congratulations!<\/h3>\n

Congratulations to our Northeast DanceSport competitors who did a fabulous job representing Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Morristown on the competition dance floor!<\/span><\/p>\n

Pia Cardillo, Rika Yamaguchi, Mollie Lawrence, Joanne \u00a0Johnson & Gabriela Lopez each danced fabulously at the Northeast DanceSport Challenge. Our student competitors\u00a0did an amazing job pushing themselves to achieve the goals they set out to accomplish during the weekend event.<\/p>\n

In addition to the overall dance improvement that comes with competition, our team also received several awards!<\/p>\n

Joanne Johnson received 3rd place in Ladies Bronze Rhythm Championship in both the A & B divisions. \u00a0Gaby Lopez placed 4th in Ladies Silver Rhythm Championship (B)\u00a0& 1st in Ladies Rhythm(C). She also received\u00a04th place in the Smooth Silver Championship.<\/p>\n

The Northeast DanceSport Competition was a total success! Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Morristown received\u00a05th place Top Studio award for this competition. \u00a0Our staff instructors also did a great job in the professional division, blazing through competitive semifinal rounds to place in the finals. \u00a0Joe Miller placed 6th in Basic Rhythm. \u00a0In Basic Smooth Natalie Honkonen and Tsvetomir (Svet) Stoynov placed 5th. \u00a0In the extremely competitive Open Rhythm division Natalie and her partner received 4th place. We are most proud of our newest staff member, Anthony Soto.\u00a0Anthony was the winner of the Professional Mixed Novice division,\u00a0placing 1st. \u00a0This was Tony’s first competition since joining\u00a0our studio just a few months ago.\u00a0We think he did a fabulous job on the dance floor debuting his skills in ballroom and latin dancing!<\/p>\n

Northeast may be over, but staff and students of Fred Astaire Morristown are already preparing for the next upcoming competition, Team Match! \u00a0We are looking for dancers of all levels to help ensure our team wins!! \u00a0Beginners are especially welcome and invited to take part in this fun, friendly one-day event. This dance competition\u00a0will take place nearby at the Hilton Parsippany on Saturday, January 17th. \u00a0Be sure to see your instructor for more information about how you can earn a Team Jacket and represent Team Morristown!<\/p>\n
