Team Match Results are in — Team Jungle wins!<\/h3>\n

Team Match results are in, and they are GREAT!\u00a0 The 2019 event was a total success.\u00a0 And while the event is over we are still thrilled about all of the excitement and achievements of the weekend! We are so proud of our student dancers who participated in both showcase division and in the Rhythm and Smooth categories of the Jungle vs Ocean Team Match! We would like to congratulate every single person on our winning team! Student participants were Joanne Johnson, Victoria Sebastian, Nicole Drasin, Deb Paff, Mark Paff, Denise Addis, Kelly Backus, Tammy Siana, Pia Cardillo, Mollie Lawrence, Lori Dahlberg, Steven Hansen, Nate Adamson & Dani Green!<\/p>\n

Among the many of the accomplishments of the weekend were:<\/p>\n

Joanne Johnson — Winner of Bronze Rhythm Championship<\/p>\n

Mark Paff — 2nd Place Bronze Rhythm Championship<\/p>\n

Mollie Lawrence — 3rd Place Silver Smooth Championship<\/p>\n

Deb Paff — Rhythm Championship Finalist<\/p>\n

Thursday night’s showcase division was also a thrill!\u00a0 Many of our Fred Astaire Morristown students performed their routines and earned great results!\u00a0 Check out a few pictures from the showcase awards ceremony below, as well as many more in our Team Match album<\/a> on our Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We are also thrilled to announce one of our favorite Team Match results: One of our showcase performers, Lori Dahlberg, was the recipient of the Dr Alan D Bernstein award!\u00a0\u00a0This is a special trophy awarded to the student performer who displays particular excellence in the showcase division.\u00a0 Lori, a true performer at heart, totally amazed the judges with her high-energy, ultra-expressive showcase routine, “Rise & Shine.”\u00a0 \u00a0It’s a real show-stopper!\u00a0 \u00a0Visit the studio to check out the sizeable award — that is, if you haven’t already seen it.\u00a0 The award has had a home here at Fred Astaire Morristown twice before — awarded to Joanne Johnson in 2016 & Nicole Drasin in 2018.\u00a0 Thank you, Lori, for doing such an incredible job that the award gets to stay here for 2019!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you know that your Fred Astaire staff members were also award winners during Team Match weekend!?A great big congratulations<\/span>\u00a0goes to Fred Astaire Morristown instructor, Tsvetomir Stoynov, who won 5th place Top Teacher for the Team Match 2019 competition! Svet was also the winner of the Top Guest-Getter award for all of 2018!\u00a0 (Be sure to send some friends to our Guest Party<\/a>\u00a0next week so he can keep up the great work!). Natalie Duke won Top Female instructor for Lessons Taught in 2018! And Cristina was the winner of the Top Office Administrator award! Way to go, Team Morristown!<\/span><\/p>\n

Last but not least, we would like to thank all of our Team Jungle supporters!\u00a0 These super duper spectators brought their team spirit and showed up to shake their maracas, cheer from the sidelines\u00a0 & provide strength in numbers during our Team Match dance-off!<\/p>\n
