Congratulations to our student competitors!<\/h3>\n

We would like to congratulate this year’s NY\/NJ DanceSport Challenge student competitors!\u00a0 Joanne Johnson & Charlotte Lee represented Fred Astaire Morristown on the competition dance floor in Jersey City.<\/p>\n

The event, which took place at the Westin in Jersey City,\u00a0 brought students together from Fred Astaire Dance Studios across New York and New Jersey.\u00a0 Joanne & Charlotte did an incredible job on the dance floor throughout the day on Saturday, June 10th. Saturday’s session was dedicated to the Rhythm Dances, which includes Rumba, Swing, Cha Cha & more!\u00a0 Both student competitors shared dances with their both of their instructors<\/a>, Tsvetomir Stoynov & Joe Hasson.<\/p>\n

Veteran competitor Joanne Johnson truly let her personality free and wowed on the dance floor throughout the day!\u00a0 In this highly-contested event Joanne moved on to the finals out of 20-30 couples, placing 4th in both her Bronze Rhythm Scholarship and Championship.\u00a0 We are so proud of your achievements at this competition!<\/p>\n

This event was a first for our student competitor Charlotte Lee. but you wouldn’t know it to see her dancing!\u00a0 Relaxed and smiling at every glace, Charlotte danced beautifully and confidently.\u00a0 We are so happy and thrilled that you enjoyed such a successful first competition after only 9 months of dancing!<\/p>\n

Following the competition, fellow students joined our student competitors and their instructors for an exciting banquet event!\u00a0 The Saturday Evening spectacular featured dinner, social dancing, an extensive professional show and lots of fun! Thank you to all who joined us and madethe evening so much fun!<\/p>\n

We also appreciate the support of our students and friends who stopped by during all of the sessions as spectators, cheering from the sidelines.\u00a0 Thank you!<\/p>\n
