Mladan Curcic – Studio Manager & Choreographer

Born in Krusevac, Serbia. Mladan Curcic started his earlier training as a ballroom dancer at the age 3 learning until today over 30 different styles of dance. When he started to compete with the early age of 6 years old, he was considered the youngest ballroom competitor dancer of Serbia in 1993. Since then he has taken part in almost over 200 ballroom dance competitions from Serbia to Europe. In addition, he participated in many different performances as a professional dancer, and some highlights are: “EXIT Music Festival”, “1st of May Festival”, “TV Musical Shows at the National Television in Serbia”, “ You and Me (music clip) Bollywood movie Khaidi No. 150”.

In the 25 years of his professional career, Mladan achieved several 1st places in Ballroom and Latin tournaments. He has a bachelor’s degree with honors in Physical Education and Sport at the University “TIMS” Novi Sad, and his thesis was about “Coordinating abilities of Ballroom and Latin Dancers”. After his academic degree, he continues to improve his dance curriculum towards ways of dancing and teaching. Mladan taught in the past 6 years in many dance clubs around Serbia to students of all age ranges and choreographed numerous Line Dances to popular Worldwide songs and some Salsa and Bachata routines. He is very excited to join the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Mystic and share his experience in Ballroom Dance and International Latin Style.
