Over time, inspired by various influences, she sought to expand her repertoire to include multiple dance styles. This growing passion for dance led her to pursue Ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Willoughby, OH. Here, she quickly fell in love with the art form and was offered a position as a dance instructor, marking the start of her professional Ballroom dance career. Seeking to broaden her education and experience, Shannon later joined Designed to Dance in Medina, OH, which is led by Open Rhythm World Finalists Kristen and Toshko Kondov. For over two years at FADS Medina, she taught both private and group lessons, performed in showcases and competitions, and trained under several highly esteemed coaches. This period was formative in developing her skills as an instructor, as well as deepening her dedication to ongoing learning and growth as a member of the professional dance community.
