Roman and Iryna:<\/span><\/p>

At the age of seven, Roman Doroshenko was given the choice of enrolling in either karate or dance classes, which was an easy decision for him. Roman knew right away that he was destined to be a professional dancer and thus began his many years of dedicated training in his home country of Ukraine. Since then, Roman has enjoyed a highly successful career, demonstrating his talent and devotion to dancesport as a performer and teacher in countries all over the world. In 2015, Roman became a WDC International Adjudicator. At present, Roman spends most of his time teaching dance to people of all ages and skill levels alongside his wife, Iryna, at Fred Astaire Dance Studies Newtown, which they have owned and operated together since the spring of 2024. Roman is currently ranked 2nd out of over 1,000 professionals in the 2026 FADS World Cup Series, which showcases the top FADS teachers in the nation. On top of this achievement, Roman and Iryna have led the FADS Newtown competition team to a top-10 ranking in the 2026 FADS World Cup series, which highlights the top studios in the country. <\/span><\/p>

Iryna Savushkina, also from Ukraine, began dancing when she was only four years old. This ignited a passion for her craft that would lead her to become a professional dance instructor in Cherkasy from 2002 until 2005. Iryna furthered her dance education at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Art, receiving a bachelor\u2019s degree in Ballroom and Latin Choreography in 2006. In 2008, Iryna became a junior dance instructor at the Dance Center Marich in Odessa, Ukraine. Iryna first met Roman in South Korea, where they began working and dancing together, uniting their unique skills to exhibit a charismatic and technically-skilled approach to dance. They then moved to China, where they taught Latin and Ballroom dance at the Duncan Academy and the Lily Rose Dance School in Shenzhen from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, while in China, Roman and Iryna became life-long partners on and off the dance floor, marrying in 2015. Like Roman, Iryna now focuses her career on teaching dance to others at FADS Newtown. Both Roman and Iryna\u2019s favorite part of teaching dance is being able to communicate the inexhaustible joy and fun of dance to their students. They sincerely enjoy helping their students to grow creatively, physically, and emotionally through the process of learning to dance.<\/span><\/p>

Throughout their careers as instructors, Roman and Iryna\u2019s students have consistently earned gold, silver, and bronze medals from some of the most prestigious and widely recognized Pro\/Am dancesport competitions in the United States. Additionally, Roman and Iryna have secured top placements themselves at a number of prominent dance competitions in the United States, including:<\/span><\/p>
