Jalopies, milk shakes, roller skating, poodle skirts, and some of the coolest dance crazes ever.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re going to bring all of that back to you with our <strong>50&#8217;s Swing Night on Thursday, October 15 at Mission Hills Country Club<\/strong>. The club is located at 1677 S. Mission Hills Road in Northbrook.<\/p>\n<p>The fun begins at 5 p.m. with a group class that will be taught by our outstanding staff. A 50\u2019s family-style dinner follows, with a live band and swing dancing. Swing dancing originated in the Jazz Era and peaked in the 1950s, with such historic dances as the Charleston and the Lindy Hop, with the Shag a 50\u2019s staple.<\/p>\n<p>Please check with your instructor for more information about the event.
