Once again your Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Paradise Valley has a special workshop with a very special guest\u00a0and we know you will want to be there. So we\u2019re getting the word out early and including here a special link through which you can purchase your tickets for this workshop with the amazing Corky Ballas.<\/p>\n

The event with Corky\u00a0is an all-day affair until 6:45 p.m., on Thursday, September 1st. He will be coaching body movement by teaching people how to complete every action that is necessary to produce speed, flexibility, and more on the dance floor.<\/p>\n

The workshop will also discuss how to generate expression through each dance movement; how to translate movement into expression through the body and face. He\u2019ll also cover how to style Latin dancing, through arms, upper and lower body.<\/p>\n

The name <\/span>Corky Ballas<\/strong> has become synonymous with ballroom dancing throughout the years. Corky is the only American to become a 3-time World Champion in the International Latin division of ballroom dancing.\u00a0Corky and his wife Shirley were 1996 Open to the World International Champions, 1995\u20131996 Open to the World British Champions, twice British National Champions, Star – World Cup – UK – Champions, and seven times undefeated United States International Latin Champions. <\/span>Corky joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars in Season 7, partnering with comedienne and actress Cloris Leachman. He is also the father of Mark Ballas whom he trained along with his childhood friends, Derek and Julianne Hough. His sense of humor and expertise make his coachings exciting and memorable.<\/span><\/p>\n
