We love being a part of this community and having the community be a part of us. We hope everyone who shares that feeling will join us on Saturday, Nov. 11, for Teach-a-Thon, an event our studio is hosting to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
We have partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association with the goal of raising $7,500 at Teach-a-Thon. All of our staff is donating its time and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the cause.
Many of our students have been impacted by this disease in one way or another and raising funds to combat it is a critical mission and dear to our hearts at Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Park Ridge.
So here’s what we’re doing. Instructors will be offering private ballroom dance lessons throughout the day (from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m). We are asking for a minimum $75 donation per lesson, but more is encouraged and all proceeds go directly to the AA. Cash or a check made out to the Alzheimer’s Association will cover it. It’s a great way for a student to work with any instructor in the building, especially a teacher who isn’t one of their own. Students can take a lesson with all eight teachers if they want! You know we encourage that!
More than 5.5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s, and it affects not only them but their families and caregivers and friends. Let’s fight back … on the dance floor.
Please join us at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Park Ridge on Saturday, Nov. 11, for Teach-a-Thon from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and dance lessons with our instructors as we raise funds to combat a terrible disease. You’ll be glad you did.
