With the growing publicity of ballroom dancing in the mainstream media, all four of the Chicago Fred Astaire Regional events have experienced continued growth each year and will continue to become the premier FADS competition of Chicagoland.<\/p>\n<p>The Freddy Ball is known as our \u201cOscar and Academy Awards,\u201d as top teachers \u2013 the best of the best \u2013 will be awarded a \u201cFreddy Award\u201d for their outstanding performances of the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>During the Friday evening session, there are the multi-dances and professional competitions.
