Teach-a-Thon Benefiting the Safe Harbor Humane Society

We often think of our pets as “the furry kids.”

But not all animals live as well as the ones we welcome into our lives and homes.

So the Pleasant Prairie studio invites you to take part in a teach-a-thon that will benefit the Safe Harbor Humane Society. Check Safe Harbor out here – https://www.safeharborhumanesociety.org/

The details: The teach-a-thon is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Pleasant Prairie (9000 76th St., Suite B, Pleasant Prairie).

The teach-a-thon is open to the public. Anyone who donates items or money will receive a free introductory dance lesson at the studio. Lessons do not need to be taken the day of the teach-a-thon. The studio will also offer a free group class for new students that evening!

Safe Harbor Humane Society is requesting the following items for donation:

  • Pet-safe salt
  • Garbage bags
  • Liquid hand soap
  • Bleach
  • White copy paper
  • Cat litter
  • Kitten food (wet and dry, please)

“Most of us at Fred Astaire Dance Studios are blessed to know the unconditional love and comfort of having a pet,” studio owner Anna Krasnoshapka said. “With thousands of pets in Kenosha County in need of shelter every year, we wanted to do something to help the community that has done so much to support our studio.”

Please join us for this special event that, again, is open to the public. Let’s help the animals and the people who help the animals.

And let’s dance!
