‘Putting On The Ritz’: A Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Breast cancer really becomes a personal issue in October. First, it’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Second, we grow acutely aware of those who are battling this terrible disease and of those who have survived it. We talk about it and how to take action against it.

We ask that you please join us on Friday, Oct. 11, for Putting on the Ritz Dance and Show: A Pop-Up Breast Cancer Fundraiser Dance Event. This will be a Roaring 20’s good time with a live big band, speakeasy cash bar and pink treats.

The Guest of Honor fund: Meg’s Mission – Mammograms for Women. www.megsmission.com

The event will showcase Meg’s story about early detection and her dream to see all women undergo mammograms. Our Putting on the Ritz event will feature live music by The RL Big Band with an amazing Roaring 20’s dance workshop and dance show by Fred Astaire Rhythm Dance Champions Alberto Garcia and Jessa Mae from New York City. Guests are invited to dress for the occasion. Casual attire is fine, but ‘20s gangster/flapper dress would be appropriate as well (and very cool).

An added attraction: We will be giving away a Dance Course worth $1,000! You will want to be in the house for this event!

The fun starts at 7:15 p.m. with a Dance Workshop on the ‘20s ($10), with a Dance Social from 8-8:30 p.m. featuring a cash wine bar, and then the live swing dance band party from 8:30-10 p.m. ($10 per person).

Come out and help us raise money for Meg’s Mission as we take part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month and work to fight this killer of 50,000 a year.  CLICK HERE TO RSVP & PURCHASE YOUR TICKET. Thanks in advance!
