Welcome to Hawaii \u2026 sort of.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re throwing a <strong>Luau Party at the studio on Friday, June 22, at 7:15 p.m. All are invited \u2013 not just studio members!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have social dancing and you\u2019ll have the chance to practice the latest dance steps and techniques you\u2019ve learned. Bring a friend and show him or her all the fun you have at FADS River Oaks! Wear your grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The fun continues on Tuesday, June 26, at 7:15 p.m. with Dance Mania. We\u2019ll have four rounds of smooth and rhythm, so you will enjoy plenty of opportunities to refine your work in these great styles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FADS River Oaks is the place to be for the best in ballroom dance instruction, but we also take our act on the road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Saturday, June 16, there\u2019s HOUSTON\u2019S GOT TALENT at The Improv Houston<\/strong> \u2013 this is the \u201cfinale\u201d to our Summer Festival Period. The talent show is hosted by FADS Houston and anyone (even if they are not a FADS member) can enter.<\/p>\n<p>The winner will walk away with a $500 cash prize or 10 free private lessons! space is limited to 20 contestants. Call us for more info!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1747900955286751\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1747900955286751\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The other biggie is the Dance Derby on June 29 (Friday) and 30 (Saturday) at the Airport Marriot in Houston.<\/strong> This is a regional competition with food, drinks, and lots of dancing. Friday night will be Team Match stakes and professional competition.\u00a0<strong>Saturday night will be the Gala and the theme is &#8220;psychedelic&#8221;<\/strong>, so bring out the bright colors, bell bottoms, and peace signs!
