Diana Zhosan

A native of Kamianske, formerly Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine, Diana Zhosan brings a wealth of  outstanding dance talent to Fred Astaire Southbury. Born into a family of professional choreographers and ballroom dancers, Diana began dancing at four years old. Her parents greatly influenced her love of art, music and dance resulting in a lifelong passion for the world of Dance Sport.

Diana pursued her study of dance at the renowned National University of Culture and Art in the Ukraine capital of Kyiv. Her determination to excel led her to earn three Masters Degrees in choreography, dance and dance instruction as well as events production. She has trained to evolve her  dance skills under the tutelage of some of the dance world’s most illustrious DanceSport coaches and instructors.

Diana’s exceptionally beautiful style and impressive dance skills have earned her  many competitive victories with her partner, Ihor Chibishev, including Ukrainian Open Championship, World10 Dance Championship, Dynasty Cup, Stars of Ukraine and Grand Prix Dance. As Diana’s reputation has grown, numerous Dance Sport competitions and television productions have followed, along  with a prestigious role as head coach of Elite Ballroom Dance Studio of Kyiv.

Her American successes are equally notable; including Professional Rising Star Latin, Northeast DanceSport Championship, Fred Astaire Top Performer, New York New Jersey DanceSport Championship to name just a few.

Diana’s versatile talents extend to professional photography and singing, and her latest passion – designing dance costumes. Above all, she cherishes the opportunity to nurture her students in their personal dance development.
