Wow, glad you caught up with us today. It\u2019s a busy month and so much is happening and we need to alert you right this moment about our Thursday, Aug. 11 \u201cSummer Salad and Sweets Potluck\u201d at the studio at 8 p.m. This one\u2019s for newcomers as well.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a chance to bring your favorite light summery dish and something sweet to a terrific party where there will be lots of social dancing and fun. We\u2019ll share food and we\u2019ll hit the dance floor and you\u2019ll get to meet some new folks and (most importantly) see how well they cook (or what they buy at the grocery store when they pretend to cook).<\/p>\n
On Thursday, Aug. 25, we\u2019ve got the remarkable Jack Davy coaching all day and teaching a free group class at 7:15 p.m. This is open to all levels. But wait \u2026 there\u2019s more. While coaches\u2019 classes generally require a payment, we will offer this one on the house. Complimentary. Free. No charge-a-rino. Yes, we know, you love us.<\/p>\n
Jack Davy is a regional dance director for Fred Astaire, a coach and national examiner. Jack can be seen all year judging Fred Astaire National competitions and was a highly-decorated Smooth dancer. You\u2019re gonna love him. Did we mention the part about Jack\u2019s class being on us? We did!<\/p>\n
We have a Back 2 School Practice Party and Guest Night on Friday, Aug. 26. That begins at 8 p.m. And we\u2019ll give you more information on this one very soon, but we\u2019ve got a 50\u2019s Sock Hop planned for Friday, Sept. 9.<\/p>\n
We\u2019d also love to see you on Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Pheasant Run Hotel. We are a part of a local bridal show at that venue. We will be performing during the fashion show and will have a booth as well. Come and say hello and check out the gowns. And remember, if there\u2019s a wedding in your future (yours, a friend\u2019s, a family member), dance lessons can be invaluable.
