The Freddy Ball is rapidly approaching and is set for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3! This is one of our premier events and a lot of fun for participants and spectators alike.<\/p>\n
On Friday, come cheer on Team St. Pete Central during Mini-Match, and watch the pros show their stuff. You can stay for dinner as well! On Saturday, be a spectator for our Regional Competition during the day, followed by a cocktail party, professional show and dinner as the prestigious 2017 Freddys are awarded!<\/strong><\/p>\n Our students and our pros always enjoy the support of the Fred Astaire Dance studio family, so please come out and cheer them on as they show off the results of their hard work and diligent practice. Don’t miss this weekend of fun and excitement! Ask your instructor for details.<\/p>\n If this gets your competitive juices flowing, then mark Monday, Feb. 5, from 6-8 p.m. on your calendar. That\u2019s when we\u2019re holding Showcase Audition Day at our St. Pete Central studio.<\/strong>\u00a0You wanna get in the game? This is the time and place to do it!<\/p>\n Here\u2019s how it works: You pick three songs that make you feel something \u2013 joy, sorrow, love, whatever you would like to express through dance. Then we sit with choreographers and figure out which expression we would like to work on to enhance your syllabus. Next \u2013 you get to work on your dance routine.<\/p>\n Each year, Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Tampa Bay puts on a Showcase called Dance Fantasy. In May, our students take the stage at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg to show their stuff. YOU can be part of our Showcase Audition Casting Day.<\/p>\n So think about some music that really moves you. Bring it in and get ready for your Showcase audition. Challenge yourself.
