No one could be prouder than we are after the recent Fred Astaire World Championships in Las Vegas.
Two students represented our studio – Larry Markowitz in American Smooth and Rhythm styles and Linda Accocella in International Latin. Both entered in multiple categories and danced in a lot of finals as well as placed first and second. The most notable result is Larry’s Top Male Bronze Solo for his “Man of La Mancha” routine.

In addition, Sasha and Olga Bylim – the studio owners – received a Fred Astaire Dance Studios 20 years longevity award.
Kudos to our hardworking students, and also to dedicated studio owners Sasha and Olga, who pour their passion for dance into the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Tarrytown.
