Covid-19 Safety Protocols

Message to Our Fred Astaire Dance Studios® Family

Dear Students and Guests –

We are incredibly happy to announce that, as of July 7th, Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Tarrytown will be moving to Phase 4 along with other businesses in Westchester!

Following the NY State and Westchester County guidelines we will be operating at 50% capacity (no more than 10 people in the studio space at a time) which will allow us to provide recommended social distancing for all lessons. At his point, in addition to Zoom private lessons, we will be offering by-appointment ONLY private in-studio lessons. Below are the guidelines put in place for the safety of our students and staff:

  • Our studio has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and we will continue to do so as recommended by the Government officials
  • All visitors are mandated to wear masks when entering our dance studio
  • Each staff member and student will be asked to sign a Waiver and Release Form
  • Each staff member and student must answer a health questionnaire before each visit
  • Temperature readings of the staff and students will be checked upon arrival at the front desk.  We ask everyone not feeling well to cancel their appointment and refrain from visiting the studio.
  • All visitors must sanitize or wash their hands before and after their lessons at the sanitation stations that are set up in the studio
  • Our lounges will be closed until further notice
  • There will be no in-studio group classes or parties until further notice. Every week we will continue offering two virtual Zoom Group Classes on Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 pm. Both classes will cover steps, techniques, and styling of Smooth, Rhythm, Ballroom and Latin dances. The Class admission is $20 per household. Please use the following link register and pay for the class. After we will receive your registration, we will email you the Zoom login info for the class.
  • Lessons will be conducted 6 feet apart
  • No more than three lessons will occur at a time
  • Every student is asked to bring their own water bottle and dance shoes and take them home after the lesson
  • If needed, lessons could be conducted using many auditory and visual means. If it is not feasible to deliver needed instruction in that manner, then minimal physical contact is permitted
  • The studio door will be kept locked to protect the required occupancy and decrease unplanned traffic. Please, call the studio at 914-366-4695 upon arrival to the parking lot and we will unlock the studio door for you.

We at Fred Astaire Dance Studios know we are all going through an incredibly challenging time. We would like to thank each and every one of you for continuing to support us. We know that dancing is an important part of your life, fitness, and wellbeing. This list of precautionary measures above has been created to make your experience at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios not only fun and enriching but safe as well. We are all so excited to be able to dance and see you all once again!!!

If you have any further questions, please contact us directly.
