The Fred and Adele Astaire Awards
May 13, 2016
Please Join us in supporting a great cause! The Fred and Adele Astaire Awards benefit The Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts. A public charity which provides Dance/Movement Therapy services to disabled and autistic students. The Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts has initiated a public school-based program of dance and movement therapy aimed at addressing the unique needs of children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
The Gala celebrates the 2016 Season’s outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway and film. The event will take place on May 16th at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing arts. Although we won’t be able to attend, we encourage our Tucson studio’s family and friends to make a donation to this wonderful cause.
Providing a child with new and creative ways to express their thoughts, feelings and needs through movement is a gift. To parents and educators, but most importantly, to the child themselves. With your support we can improve the lives of each child with whom we have the privilege to work.
With a goal to raise $15,000, we are asking for help. Here is what donations can do:
- $100 Provides music for a full year of classes
- $250 Provides one year of classes for a child
- $500 Provides one year of classes for two children
- $1,000 Provides one year of classes for one classroom
- $5,000 provides half of a year of classes for one school
- $10,000 Provides one year of classes for one school.
Please note that our Tucson Dance studio is offering a complimentary dance lesson to anyone who donates $25 or more!
