Why The Fred Astaire Dance Curriculum Is Better

You always know where you stand when you join Fred Astaire Dance Studios for ballroom dance instruction (and we don’t just mean on the dance floor).

Fred Astaire Dance Studios (FADS) offers a superior and structured curriculum that allows those new to dance to follow a carefully-crafted program that moves them through various levels as their skills develop. As they become more experienced and proficient, FADS creates more incentives, competitions, and awards that connote and reward success.

Tested by time and continually adjusted over the years, our tiered program of regularly-scheduled private lessons, in addition to group classes and a wide variety of practice parties (many of them themed), ensure that you learn as much as possible, in the shortest amount of time, with the most retention, and the most FUN!

We employ dance instructors from around the world who are well-versed not only in many styles of popular dances, but who also gain honors and win trophies by competing internationally and within the United States. These dedicated teachers lived the lessons and honed the techniques that they pass along to their students.

Our dance instructors’ repertoire includes a full array of ballroom dances – American, Latin, International Style, Ballroom Style, even Exhibition and Theater Arts dances. Our proprietary dance instruction program ensures you will soon be on track to becoming a confident, competent dancer by the end of your very first lesson.

Passion and desire keep our students on course, but we believe that the Fred Astaire Trophy System encourages dedicated dancers to know exactly where they stand in their dance education.

Our Beginner and Social Foundation Programs teach newer students the step patterns and techniques needed to become comfortable on the dance floor. They then advance a level to Bronze, which symbolizes their ability to confidently dance on any sized dance floor, to any music, with any partner. Next? Silver level, and then Gold.

We always stress that dancing is fun (and a great way to combat stress), but there’s a competitive side to this for dancers who wish to measure their skills against those of others. Many enjoy performing in front of crowds, in costume, and in settings that take them beyond our studios and into hotel ballrooms or larger venues in such fabulous settings as Las Vegas, Orlando and Houston. FADS branded Regional, National and International Pro-Am and Professional Dance Competitions give you inspiring opportunities to compete, travel and hone your dancing skills in supportive and exciting environments and the chance to mix and mingle with peers from across the country and across the globe.

The great Fred Astaire founded these dance studios in 1947 and we have, over the ensuing years, added more styles of dance, recruited top instructors and coaches, and put our students in the best possible position to learn, grow and enjoy the world of dance.

We’ll match that against anyone.
