Juliet Garcia – Instructor/Owner

Originally from Germany, Juliet began dancing Ballet at age 5, followed by Jazz and Hip Hop. She began ballroom dance training at age 13 as a student and participated in many performances and shows. Juliet soon discovered her love for teaching and decided to deepen her education in the New World.
Juliet joined the Fred Astaire franchise in 2004 to further develop her teaching and dancing skills. She started her Fred Astaire career in Norwalk, CT. Through dedication and hard work she was soon promoted to manager and earned several top teacher awards at regional events.
Juliet’s enthusiastic teaching developed many successful students over the years. She successfully participated in fund raising events, such as Curtain Calls, a non-profit annual fundraiser in Stamford, CT. Based on the “Dancing With the Stars” format, at Curtain Calls, she lead two of her three amateur partners to first place finishes.
In 2011, Juliet transferred to the Mystic, CT studio where she quickly became a successful teacher and manager. She applied the same energy and enthusiasm to her professional dancing.
Juliet competed and was a finalist in many Rising Star and Open Level competitions such as: the Manhattan Open, the Capital Dancesport, the Atlanta Open, the Tri-State Challenge, the Heritage Classic, the United States Dancesport Championships (USDC) and the Yankee Classic. Juliet and her partner were also one of the first couples to compete professionally at American Quickstep, a brand new dance style at the Yankee Classic in 2011. Juliet was Closed and Open American Smooth Champion in New England for three consecutive years, as well as National Closed Fred Astaire Champion, and the 2010 Fred Astaire Closed Smooth World Champion and Open World finalist.
Her exceptional dance skills earned Juliet and her partner mention in magazine articles such as DanceBeat, the premier ballroom dancing magazine. Juliet has consistently placed within the top teachers at competitions that reflect her dedication as an instructor. Her numerous years of teaching all over the world at many different dance levels have made her an expert at teaching beginning and advanced students alike.
